1. Data Processing Overview
EchoWrite processes data in three ways: locally, via OpenAI, and via BOCO's licensing servers.

2. Third-Party Data Transfers
- OpenAI: Audio and text fragments are sent to OpenAI (USA) for processing via your API key. By using the service, you acknowledge that your data is subject to OpenAI's privacy policies.
- OVH SAS: The application's web infrastructure and licensing server are hosted by OVH SAS (France). Connection logs (IP address, user agent) for the licensing server and landing page are processed by OVH in accordance with their privacy policy and applicable laws.
3. Data Retention
- Local Data: All transcription history is maintained locally on the user's device. BOCO does not have access to your private transcriptions unless explicitly shared.
- Audio Files: Audio is captured temporarily for conversion and transmission to the API. It is not permanently stored by BOCO.
4. User Rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), users have the right to access, rectify, and request the deletion of any personal data held by BOCO (primarily licensing information). Contact contact@echo-write.com for such requests.
